Earlier this year, we were super excited to share with Hubbers that Impact Hub Ottawa will be moving to a new home in 2017. We had expected to be able to share updates and news a lot sooner, but little did we know (Failure Report anyone?) that lease negotiations take a really (really) long time.

So here we are – sorry that we weren’t in touch sooner, but so excited to now be in a position (with a signed lease!) to start engaging you and the Hub community, ask you about your practical needs and your wildest ideas, and together build our new home.

First things first, the facts:

April 2017 is the date; 123 Slater St is the pace; Yes we're trying to take the ceiling is the promise

Our lease at 71 Bank St. is up in April 2017, so this is our move deadline. We are aiming for a smooth move with limited disruption to members.

123 Slater St is the place! It’s not far, it’s on the Transitway, it’s beautiful, and now you can join us in dreaming of our new home when walking past it in the months to come. It’s here that we will be taking over 10,000 sq. ft on the 6th floor with our new roomies, the Community Foundations of Canada.

And yes, because it has been everyone’s first question, we are most definitely making efforts to bring a part of the ceiling art installation with us 🙂

Stay tuned for our next blog post with more details on how you can get involved with co-creating our new home!
