Labor : Bridging the Disconnect Between Work and Purpose

This invitation is for change-makers, creatives, policy-thinkers and government to come together for a delightful and stimulating learning journey on how we might re-frame the way we understand capitalism.  On June 14th, Hub Ottawa and Citizens First is hosting the third talk in the series of eight sessions on transforming capitalism.

The Transforming Capitalism Lab is brought to you in collaboration with the co-founder of the Presencing Institute and MIT Sloan School of Management Senior Lecturer, Dr. Otto Scharmer and the Huffington Post.

In 2018 we will cover the following nine topics: Beyond GDP, Nature, Labor, Capital, Technology, Business, Government & Democracy, Education & Learning, Integration & Synthesis.

The future of work is The whole economic discourse today is about employment numbers. However, with automation, increases in productivity, etc..there is no way we will ever come close to full employment again on a global scale. This is a frightening prospect. Our speakers for the June 14th session will include Otto Scharmer, Palak Shah and Dayna Cunningham. The Agenda is as follows:

10:00  – 11:00 am – Live Lecture with Otto Scharmer, Palak Shah & Dayna Cunningham
11:00 – 11:30 am – Global discussion on lecture
