Impact Hub Ottawa Appoints New Executive Director, Deirdre Laframboise
Impact Hub Ottawa’s Board of Directors is delighted to welcome Deirdre Laframboise as our new Executive Director.
Deirdre joins Impact Hub Ottawa (IHO) with more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in the non-profit sector, having led five national organizations and built a career defined by collaboration, innovation, and impact. Her expertise spans strategic planning, program development, fundraising, advocacy, governance, human resources, marketing, and communications. This combination uniquely positions her to guide Impact Hub Ottawa into its next chapter.
Her career includes co-founding and leading a nationally and internationally recognized charity focused on youth programs at the intersection of environment and health, demonstrating her ability to take bold ideas from concept to impact. She has advanced missions related to climate policy, water and climate risk management, municipal green infrastructure, and regenerative and organic agriculture, all rooted in systems thinking and community collaboration.
Beyond her professional achievements, Deirdre brings a warm, people-centered approach to leadership. A former national-level athlete, she understands the power of teamwork and discipline. She is energized by community, loves being outdoors, and approaches challenges with creativity, humility, and a “let’s make it happen” attitude—all qualities that resonate deeply with IHO culture.
