Where we started
In 2011, six young leaders noticed a critical gap in their city. Without a meaningful space to connect, local changemakers were working in silos, missing out on opportunities to collaborate and grow their impact.
So they joined forces.
With a fierce community behind them, they worked on creating a community space where people could come together and drive social change. After countless meetups, consultations and design sprints, Impact Hub Ottawa — with a dedicated Board of Directors, impact investors, and volunteers — officially launched in 2012.
Community co-creation and grassroots engagement are at the heart of everything we do.

Today, we’ve enhanced our offering to make our network of impact-driven leaders, experts and community builders accessible to our members, wherever they are — online, and in-person.
