Every day, we see more and more articles on how AI will destroy the world, but honestly, I don’t buy it. The problem is that most people don’t know HOW AI makes things. We only see the result, and we associate intelligence because the technology is impressive. Think of this like a teddy bear. Because the teddy bear has a beautiful face, doesn’t mean that it can feel or think. It’s the same with AI: we see a machine that create words and we associate with it abilities that it cannot do.
In this talk, we will discuss:
How AI works in simple terms
How it creates music
What are the current technological limitations
NOTE: This is not about what AI COULD do. This is about what AI CAN do: its limitations. My thesis is that, barring a completely new technology, AI has core limitations that should put you at ease.
