Facing historic challenges with the SDGs
From social justice to the global climate crisis, we’re working with our members to address historic challenges through the lens of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals—to end poverty, protect the planet, and reduce inequality.
Brown Bag Lunches
A community favourite. Experts share their skills, stories and strategies over lunch, offering frameworks for our community to advance their careers or propel action on the SDGs. Come hungry, leave inspired. Offered in both official languages.
Cross-Border Conversations on the SDGs
Global leaders joined our community to share real-world stories and strategies to drive meaningful action on the SDGs. In 2020, we investigated how we can build liveable cities and safe, healthy and empowered communities. In 2021, we tackled climate change and racial injustice, exploring how anti-racism and Indigenous ways of knowing can propel these efforts while de-centring white supremacy in the process.
SDG Deep Dives
With 50 Ottawa-based public, private and nonprofit leaders, we explored how we can foster the cross-sector collaboration critical to advancing sustainable social, economic and environmental development.
SDG Hub, Co-Designing the future of the Hub + Learning Series: Partners, stakeholders and community members came together for two interactive co-creation sessions to help us better support inclusive, cross-sector collaboration for the SDGs—while challenging its limitations for equity seeking groups and centering a commitment to truth and reconciliation.
