Business for Good is a new website that aims to inspire, connect and enable entrepreneurs who’s businesses seek to have a positive social or environmental impact. An easy-to-navigate online directory and resource centre, it is designed to help entrepreneurs find and access the services and supports available to them, whatever the stage of their venture.

The local entrepreneurial ecosystem has many resources and opportunities for social enterprises and businesses who care about their social impact. But finding and navigating those resources can often be a challenge, partly because until today, there was no single directory for them.

For example, if you are an enterprise looking to build your skills in business and development planning, or marketing, or impact measurement, you’ll find filtered results pointing you to services and service providers. If you are looking for grants, investments, or loans, you’ll be directed to opportunities. You can also filter the results based on your organizational structure, language of preference, region, and more. Click here to start exploring!

Business for Good is a product of the ONE Social Enterprise Partnership – Eastern Region, funded through the Province of Ontario’s Social Enterprise Strategy. The Eastern Region Partnership is comprised of Impact Hub Ottawa, Invest Ottawa and Capital Entrepreneurs. Through surveys, consultations and research, it was determined that there was a need for a comprehensive, intuitive, useful and sustainable resource for social entrepreneurs, business advisors, and anyone looking to do good.

Information was collected and aggregated by a number of regional and provincial community partners, including Carleton University, Meceness, Ontario Network of Entrepreneur Members, ISED, CSI, Pillar, Nordik and the countless social entrepreneurs and business advisors consulted along the way.
