About this event:
Research suggests that 90% of people report daydreaming in meetings, and 73% admit that they use meeting time to do other work. Do you see yourself or your colleagues in those numbers? You might be caught in a cycle of bad meetings!
At this Brown Bag Lunch, join Jane Porter, Impact Hub Ottawa’s Convening & Facilitating Meaningful Gatherings Coach for a discussion on ideas and facilitation techniques that you can try to minimize unproductive meetings during your work week. You’ll leave with a set of skills to be more intentional with how you spend your time in meetings.
Co-founder of Impact Hub Ottawa, and founder of Bridge Building Group, Jane Porter is a Certified Professional Facilitator, passionate about helping people have meaningful conversations and designing engaging gatherings. As the newest addition to the Hub’s Coaching for Impact team, Jane hopes to help members in experimenting with new ways to bring people together to bridge divides in our society.
Brown Bag Lunches are Impact Hub Ottawa’s weekly lunch & learns led by Hubbers, for members and non-members alike. Topics vary each week, but you’re always sure to learn something new!
