Our Nation Capital’s largest urban arts festival since 2003 is based right here at Impact Hub Ottawa.
House of Paint (HoP) is taking hip hop back to it’s roots and promoting community consciousness, political awareness, and artistic development through art, dance, music, and spoken word. In 2017, HoP expanded their programming from their annual three day festival to bring HoP to low income neighbourhoods along with the support of the AOE Arts Council and Neighbourhood Arts150, as well as, curated Ottawa’s highest mural located on Montreal road.
As members since 2013, the HoP crew have been active collaborators. From working with Community Foundations of Canada to activate their events with arts and being a 2015 recipient of an Ottawa Wave Makers microgrant.
